Sourcing Manager Overview

This fashion company are looking for a Sourcing Manager who is responsible for sourcing products aligned to the range plan, and oversee the production process, price negotiation, progress and delivery to agreed schedule.

 

Sourcing Manager Responsibilities

  • Ensure suppliers are selected to produce product that meet the company standards
  • Manage the ongoing supplier evaluation process
  • Responsible for product engineering through selected suppliers
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers, covering capacity bookings and price agreements
  • Manage the relevant critical path functions
  • Manage the official ordering process, including any letters of credit etc.
  • Responsible for managing the Sourcing Coordinator, leading and directing to reach their optimum potential
  • Development of the sourcing base, in line with company requirements to have dual sources and improved lead times
  • Provide relevant information on raw materials, products and sourced to the design, buying & merchandising teams

 

Sourcing Manager Skills and Experience

Previous experience in a similar role is essential.

This is a full time office based role.
