Logistics Manager Overview
We have a new opportunity available working for one of our long-standing fashion clients, who are looking for a Logistics Manager to work in their logistics and shipping team. The company design everyday casual clothing to be sold B2B and B2C, as part of their team you will be controlling part of the businesses internally logistics activities. As the Logistics Manager you will be responsible for managing the transportation and distribution of products ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Logistics Manager Responsibilities
- Controlling FOB imports from multiple origins, predominantly from the Far East
- Controlling customs compliance and entry submissions
- Dealing with logistical issues as they arise and providing suggestions where appropriate to avoid future issues
- Working closely with the warehouse teams
- Working closely with the external freight forwarders, sourcing the best one depending on cost, quantities, lead times, etc
- Managing timely and accurate freight invoice sign off
- Collect and archive documents for international movement
Logistics Manager Skills and Experience
- You must have relevant experience with the ability to work autonomously, and have experience importing large volumes from the Far East
- Continuous improvement mindset who is always willing to learn
