Senior Merchandiser Overview

This fashion forward ladieswear company create premium women’s garments.

They are looking for an established Senior Merchandiser to join their team, reporting into the Director, to work on their own brand website, and the partners they sell into.

Senior Merchandiser Responsibilities

  • Plan, control and manage stock levels to meet the stock requirements of the business, whilst maximising sales
  • Analyse consumer buying patterns and predicting future trends
  • Review the merchandising strategy; OTIF delivery, contribution, stock holdings, etc
  • Ensure budgeted margins are achievable
  • Give strategic visions based on short and long-term sales, stock and margin potential
  • Analyse sales performance against estimates and suggest action
  • Liaise with suppliers to resolve any issues
  • Review historical sales figures and record lessons learnt
  • Ensure shipment dates are met
  • Make suggestions for range updates, both for new and existing products

Senior Merchandiser Skills and Experience

  • You should consider yourself passionate in the fashion industry, actively keeping up with new trends and the market
  • Ability to work autonomously and an excellent decision maker, but knowing when to ask for additional support
  • Great communication skills
  • Expert using Microsoft Excel
