NPD Buyer/Product Manager – Homeware (12 Month Contract)

We have a rare and exciting NPD Buyer/Product Manager, working across Homeware, for a well-known company, covering a 12 month contract.

The Senior Buyer will work across existing ranges of cushions, curtains and throws as well as developing new product areas across in-house brands and customer accounts.

NPD Buyer/Product Manager – Homeware Responsibilities;

  • Work closely with the Design team to carry out research and identify new product areas
  • Build and develop new and innovative product ranges alongside the commercial team
  • Develop good/better/best strategies across product ranges
  • Work close with factories overseas, negotiate cost prices and lead times
  • Regularly analyse sales and ranges, identifying best and worst selling lines
  • Manage and update the critical path
  • Support and manage more junior members of the team
  • Approve samples

Skills and Experience

  • Good knowledge and understanding of sourcing from China and Pakistan, and have attended sourcing trips
  • Excellent understanding of home textiles
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
