Merchandiser Overview

We are looking for a driven and ambitious Merchandiser to join this lively retailer, to be responsible for developing, planning and delivering ranges alongside the buying team.

 

Merchandiser Responsibilities

 

• Create a vision for the department encompassing strategy, budget and product for both short term and long term
• Work closely with the Buying team to build a balance range in line with customer expectation
• Take responsibility for developing departmental sales, stock, intake plans, profit and markdowns
• Flex trade between categories and managing mixes
• Reach to current sales and trends by managing OTB or current stock situations
• Work alongside stock distribution to ensure optimum stock levels are delivered in store
• Work closely with the Head of Merchandising to devise a department Merchandising strategy
• Support and challenge the Buying teams
• WSSI management

 

Merchandiser Skills and Experience

• Previous experience within a retail environment, ideally having worked on fashion
• Advanced Microsoft Excel user
• Strategic thinker and problem-solver
• Strong analytical skills and able to make decisions using data

 

Merchandiser Additional Information

This position does require being away in Wales for half of the week, for which the expenses are covered by the company.
