Merchandiser Overview

This homewares retailer are looking for a Merchandiser to work across various of their products ranges and assist the Head of Department to maintain smooth operation, plan ranges and manage budgets.

 

Merchandiser Responsibilities 

• Forecast forward sales and intake requirements
• Review historical sales figures and record lessons learned
• Liaise with the factories and the Product team to ensure shipment dates are met
• Raise any issues to the Head of Merchandising when necessary, making suggestions on how to rectify
• Manage the intake of stock
• Manage own stock to maximise availability, whilst reducing discontinued exposure
• Collate sales and stock availability
• Make suggestions for range refresh

 

Merchandiser Skills and Experience 

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent forecasting skills
• An inquisitive, analytical mindset
• Able to work cooperatively with other departments
