Overview

This company is looking for an enthusiastic Junior Account Manager / Merchandiser to join their team. The role sits within the supply side of the business, working closely with both international teams and key retail customers. You will support the end-to-end product process for renowned high street and online retailers, acting as a key link between customers, factories, and overseas offices.

 

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with retail customers, supporting day-to-day communication and queries.
• Work closely with internal overseas teams and factories (primarily Far East-based) to ensure smooth product development and delivery.
• Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and alignment with customer requirements.
• Monitor and manage the critical path, providing regular updates to internal teams and customers.
• Support attendance at trade shows and customer meetings where required.
• Coordinate sample development, including submitting comments and tracking approvals (e.g. lab dips, strike offs, and samples)
• Liaise with logistics and shipping teams to track and communicate delivery schedules.
• Ensure all product and order information is accurately maintained and updated.

 

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in production, merchandising, account management, or a similar supply chain role (preferred but not essential for junior level)
• Strong communication skills with confidence in dealing with both internal and external stakeholders
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and ability to manage a critical path
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with data
• Proactive, team-oriented, and able to work independently when required
• Willingness to learn and develop within a fast-paced, customer-facing supply environment
