Assistant Import Merchandiser Overview

We are working with a health and beauty company to recruit for an Assistant Import Merchandiser to support the smooth running of supply chain operations. In this role, you’ll help coordinate purchasing activities, manage supplier information, monitor shipments, and ensure products move efficiently from suppliers through to delivery.

 

Assistant Import Merchandiser Responsibilities

• Create and maintain supplier records, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.
• Assist with onboarding new suppliers and managing supplier documentation.
• Process purchase orders and oversee them throughout the order lifecycle.
• Ensure product details, pricing and purchase order information remain accurate.
• Maintain critical path schedules to ensure deadlines are achieved.
• Track deliveries, provide shipment updates and escalate any delays or issues.
• Assist with stock reporting and inventory planning activities.
• Support new product launches by ensuring all supply chain information is complete and accurate.
• Maintain product compliance documentation and ensure records are current.

 

Additional Information

• Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills and the confidence to build relationships with suppliers and colleagues.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• A positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to learn.

 

This role would be best suited to a recent graduate looking to take their first step into a Merchandising focused role.
