Assistant Buyer Job Overview
We have an amazing opportunity for an Assistant Buyer to join a highly successful fashion supplier.
The Junior Garment Technologist will be working on knitwear across Ladieswear.
Assistant Buyer Responsibilities
- Carry trend research and work closely with customers buying teams to develop ranges
- Regularly update the critical path, ensuring all stages from development through to delivery are met on time
- Work closely with internal teams including design, merchandising, and production to ensure a smooth workflow
- Liaise with suppliers, including sending comments, chasing samples, and monitoring deliveries
- Track samples, approvals, lab dips, strike-offs, and submissions, maintaining accurate records throughout
- Build and develop ranges
Assistant Buyer Additional Information
- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
- Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with both customers and suppliers
- Some experience in a similar role
