Licensed Fashion Designer Overview
An exciting opportunity has come up for a Licensed Fashion Designer to join a highly successful company.
The Licensed Fashion Designer will work alongside the sales and design team to produce commercial, on-trend ranges of licensed apparel across Ladieswear, Childrenswear and Accessories.
Licensed Fashion Designer Responsibilities;
- Work to customer briefs, attend customer meetings and work closely with the customers design and buying teams
- Oversee more junior members of the team
- Delegate tasks to assistant and junior level designers, and closely monitor their performance
- Regularly liaise with licensors
- Carry out trend and market research, which will include attending comp shopping trips, inspiration shopping trips and trade shows
- Sourcing fabrics and trims
- Work with factories overseas and create detailed tech packs to be sent across to factories
Additional Information
The Licensed Fashion Designer must have some previous experience in a design role, with strong CAD skills and a good knowledge of fabrics and trims.
Licensing experience would be ideal but not necessary.
