Junior Menswear Designer Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Menswear Designer to join a thriving fashion business, supporting the dynamic Menswear Design team across a range of product areas.
Working closely with the wider design team, the Junior Menswear Designer will help develop commercial, trend-led ranges in line with customer briefs and support the day-to-day design process.
Junior Menswear Designer Responsibilities:
- Support the Menswear Design team across multiple product areas
- Assist with designing and developing commercial ranges in line with customer briefs
- Create and update CADs, colourways and design presentations
- Support with range building, product development and preparing samples
- Assist with comp and inspiration shopping trips
- Help prepare for customer meetings and range presentations
- Attend customer meetings and factory visits where required
- Liaise with suppliers and factories to support the development process
- Research current trends, colours, fabrics and key commercial directions
- Work closely with the wider design team to ensure products are developed to brief and delivered on time
Additional Information
The ideal candidate will be creative, commercially minded and have a strong interest in Menswear. Good CAD skills and an understanding of the design and product development process are desirable.
This role would suit a Junior Designer looking to develop their experience within a fast-paced fashion supply environment. Previous experience within Menswear or a supplier environment would be advantageous, but we are also open to candidates with relevant fashion design experience and a strong portfolio.
