Account Manager (Ecommerce) Overview
A well-established luxury homewares business is seeking an Account Manager to manage and grow a diverse ecommerce customer base. This role offers the opportunity to work within a commercially focused, fast-growing organisation, supporting customers while ensuring alignment with company guidelines, trade terms, and strategic objectives.
Reporting directly to the Sales Director, the successful candidate will play a key role in developing accounts, maximising sales opportunities, and strengthening long-term customer relationships across ecommerce businesses, retailers, interior designers, and beyond.
Account Manager (Ecommerce) Responsibilities
- This position involves building, managing, and developing relationships with an established portfolio of trade customers, as well as identifying opportunities within prospective accounts.
- Managing and developing ecommerce customer accounts, with a strong focus on commercial performance and account growth
- Reviewing customers’ digital presence and product performance to ensure alignment with brand and trading guidelines.
- Monitoring compliance and addressing any breaches of company policies in a professional and constructive manner.
- Engaging with customers to provide ongoing support, coaching, and development to help optimise their accounts.
- Presenting product ranges to clients and supporting new product launches
- Assessing and justifying customer requests to ensure they meet commercial and brand requirements.
- Ensuring adherence to agreed trade terms and pricing structures.
- Negotiating with customers to maximise opportunities while protecting company margins.
- Communicating regularly with customers via remote and face-to-face meetings
- Attending UK trade shows and industry events as required
- The role requires strong commercial judgement, confidence in customer-facing situations, and the ability to balance relationship management with performance and compliance.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience working in a B2B environment.
- Strong commercial awareness
- Experience or keen interest in Interior Design.
- Full UK driving license.
